Tergar Osel Ling Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal
On the outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley, Tergar Osel Ling Monastery is an ideal place to study and practice. Set a few hundred meters up on a hill above the city, the Institute sits on the backside of the Tergar Osel Ling monastic complex. The setting is quiet and secluded, limiting distractions and offering an opportunity to go deep into study-practice. Moreover, the monastic community helps to create a strong, dedicated ambiance of practice and study, supporting us in our endeavors to understand the tradition.

Sangha House, Tergar Osel Ling
Newly built, Sangha House is a retreat center with 35 rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. It will house all classes and provide lodging for students during the program, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Sangha House provides:

  • Comfortable classrooms with plenty of natural light
  • A cafe with drinks, a bakery, and seating
  • Outdoor spaces for interviews with faculty and socializing with peers
  • Indoor and outdoor spaces for quiet contemplation
  • Large and small group meeting areas
